The Savannahs

Founded in early 2017, singer-songwriters Hannah Rose Platt (vocals/guitar), Emily Moment(vocals/guitar/ukulele), and Rebecca Rosewell (vocals/guitar/bass) formed Alt-Country group 'The Savannahs'. Inspired by acts like Emmylou Harris, Neil Young, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Gillian Welch, and many more, The Savannahs lend their beautiful harmonies to a mix of both originals and rootsy covers.

In July 2017, the band was invited to perform on BBC One's vocal competition 'Pitch Battle', representing Country music and gaining nationwide attention. This exposure gave way to well-attended live gigs up and down the country eventually leading to the 2018 release of their first EP 'Iron and Glass'. The 4 track EP, recorded by Sam Beer (Treetop Flyers), and recently featured on BBC Radio 4's Loose Ends with Clive Anderson, is available now on iTunes, Spotify and all other popular listening platforms.
